The melodic and haunting sound of Simon playing the Uillean pipes, accompanied amongst others by Richard Lacy (keyboards) and David Bird (cittern - a type of lute) floats soothingly through the air to touch one's spirit and point us to Jesus. This instrumental collection of hymns with arrangements for pipes, guitars, keyboards and drums includes the well known songs "Amazing Grace" and "Be Thou My Vision" as well as some original pieces in a variety of styles created only this year. "Dance Of Joy" has glimpses of a Riverdance rhythm, with "If Tomorrow" providing moments to savour cittern and quena. This is a lovely album which could set the scene for private worship, prayer and meditation or just to help you relax any time of day.

I am a retired railwayman of three years but since September 2020 I have been presenting a modern Christian music radio show every Sunday morning at HWD Hospital Radio, based at Dewsbury and District Hospital, from 9.00 until 10.00. The station broadcasts worldwide via the internet, so you don't need to be in hospital to hear us! I have added Simon's rendition of Holy, Holy, Holy to my playlist for this coming Sunday (23rd Jan 2022), and it'll be its third outing on the show. It's a simply wonderful piece of music, but I'm trying to find out where it was recorded. I'm guessing Chris Norton's studios overlooking Heath Common in Wakefield, if indeed that is the correct location but I just want to get my facts right. I have met Simon many years ago when he did a concert at St Peter's Birstall, where I'm a bass player. Looking forward to a response!
