Putting gospel music on the map here in the UK, songwriter and leader Simon Wallace has fashioned an effective album built around songs that minister. This is well produced with strong vocal performances and a clear sound though Simon's spoken narration and interjections (in a pseudo Kirk Franklin fashion) do tend to irritate after a while which is a shame! Songs like "My Steps Are Ordered" and "He Understands" touch the heart and the rousing "I Believe God" is stirring but the album has a few flaws. The production sound is dated and the fake crowd noises mixed into some tracks give the album a fraudulent feel, which is a shame because there is quite a lot here that deserves to be heard.
