There were some clear vocals in this album yet somehow I found it hard to muster up an interest. Perhaps it's me. but I find songs that talk about God as "someone who will never put you down" or as someone who has "made me HAPPY since the day I met you" somewhat shallow. An out of season Christmas song looked promising but in the end, all it said was that in our remembering of the Nativity at Christmas we shouldn't forget that Jesus grew to be a man and died for us. I must have heard this message in every Christmas service that I've ever attended. I was grateful that I had listened through to the end as I felt that the last three songs redeem the album. There is a fresh arrangement of Thomas O'Chisholm's classic about a covenant-keeping God "Great Is Thy Faithfulness". The music also began to improve with a launch into blues with "And This Is Love". But it isn't until the last track that there is a deeper, more heartfelt song about a couple losing their baby. Otherwise, I found this album packed with too many sentimental clichés and not enough interesting music.
