This release from a trained professional pianist from London is truly for the listener who loves a lot of mellow piano-led music. Among the 14 tracks on offer are Christian classics such as "Be Thou My Vision" and "Just As I Am". These two songs along with four others are purely instrumental which break up the album and gives a much laid back, relaxing feel. The vocals on the other 10 songs include the talents of a number of members of Stephen's church, all who have strong, mature voices. So yes, this album showcases this artist's abilities in songwriting and composition but unfortunately doesn't dare delve into anything with any sort of appealing originality. I can see this album attracting more of a mature audience but I'm sure 'Years In The Shade' would be a good listen for any budding pianist. Overall, a talented guy who just needs to be a little more daring next time.
