Having won US TV's Sunday Best gospel talent search in 2013 and a Stella award for Best Gospel Newcomer in 2015, Tasha here presents 'The Beautiful Project'. It does not disappoint. The opening "You Are Good" builds to an almost swing climax with a stunning horn section dropping some excellent stabs. The first single from the album, "Over And Over" is a real stunner building from Tasha's soulful vocals over a simple piano line before the choir gently joins in with the arrangement building to a wonderful gospel climax. Tasha can handle the highs and lows, the full on and the more thoughtful with equal aplomb and the arrangements work to both showcase her voice and take the songs to even higher places. She is not afraid of stepping out, as the electro dance track "Help Us" featuring Izze Williams proves to great effect, and handles the duet "Beautiful Saviour" with Bryan Popin that closes the album with equal gusto. Slickly produced contemporary gospel with a skilfully chosen set of musical approaches.
