As a follow-up to his 2005 debut album, Tampa-born, Manhattan-based singer/actor Myrick now delivers 12 inspirational gospel tracks in his melodious tenor with its distinctive falsetto. The opening, smooth R&B worshipful "He Is" is followed by the laid back guitar grooves of "I've Been Looking For You", an evidently heartfelt musical prayer of thankfulness. Whilst Myrick is backed to varying degrees by a gospel choir he is largely singing solo and given his distinctive tone, this is a good thing, allowing the bass, guitars, keyboards, and even the organ to work together for the good of each track. This works particularly well on "You're All That I Need", the most traditional song on the album while the most up-beat track is "Didn't I Tell You". Overall, an excellent showcase for a fine singer.
