Not to be confused with 'God Listens To Our Prayer' which would not be impossible because on first listening the two are remarkably similar. However this venture has more musical variation, greater clarity and distinctive riffs proving on the whole rather more satisfying. The singer's own admission is that "My life has always been simple" and it is this that proves refreshing which is best captured in the child like innocence of "Simply Amazing" which marvels at the miracle of creation. Overall there is a variety in the content of this album from the Beach Boys styled "He'll Carry You", to the Celtic sounding ballad "My Prayer" and culminating in the mournfully atmospheric "Immanuel" reminiscent of a Jewish lament. There is a greater coherence to the arrangement of tracks signifying a progressive maturity that is captured in another confession; "I live with no regret wouldn't change a thing." Certainly this album proves more sat-isfyingly complete and indicates a songwriter of burgeoning promise
