This is a fresh offering from the London-based crew who are keepin' it real and making their mark without leaning too heavily on US influences. Poetic and eloquent throughout, the rhymes are further enhanced in the sleevenotes. The EP is aimed at uplifting the listener with practical, pull no punches teaching, using some poignant examples of close shaves with the dark side, as in the heated “Flip Sin”. A clutch of unusual jazz hooks, cutting humour and a broad spectrum of rhyming skills make this a real head nodder, packed with surprises and containing a few real gems. “History” is an infectious groove, crafted and creative, which together with its R&B/club remix are in need of some serious airplay. Musical and spiritual integrity make this a strong release and I look forward to charting the development of these guys in the future.
