The same people that brought you the Bluegrass Band's 'Once Again From The Top' now offer you this excellent collection of sacred songs made famous by Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs and other pioneers of bluegrass music. This version of the Bluegrass Band brings together performers acknowledged to be among the most successful active in bluegrass today. Ever since Bill Monroe began developing the musical form that would become known as bluegrass, sacred songs have been that facet of the music which goes beyond the eyes and ears, and into the hearts and souls of both performers and listeners. In this collection the Bluegrass Band raises its voice in song to share some of the wonderful messages of the heart and the Gospel. Take a bunch of top quality musicians, put them in a studio and let them cut loose on some of the finest gospel songs ever in my opinion (gospel has always been a strong part of bluegrass, particularly the quartet and trio harmonies), and you get some of the very best music you are ever likely to hear this side of glory!
