Reviewed by Jonathan Evans This video is one of a series from Integrity Music featuring the Donut Man (Rob Evans), Duncan (a donut) and the Donut Repair Club. In this episode, Josie brings her doll to be repaired and ends up learning about how God can repair her broken heart. Although there is no actual mention of the target age group, the video seems to be aimed at preschool children, with a Playdays feel to it. (The Donut Man is a Mr Jolly type character.) Although much American output is of the highest quality, it tends to be secular material that is excellent (eg, Sesame Street). Sadly, much that comes from American Christian sources has a high cringe factor, and this falls into that category. It is just too nice and sweet and technically not that good either (poorly dubbed). As to the content, there are seven songs covering such subjects as salvation, The Bible, Heaven and healing, with the story line that explores the subjects of the songs. There's really far too much material covered here and some of the language is totally inappropriate for this age group; redemption, sanctified, Holy Ghost... Need I say more?
