Having found their feet with their eponymous 2012 debut, former Telecast frontman Josh White's Oregon-based new band have delivered a quietly sensational followup that gives an affectionate nod to the Jesus Movement music of old whilst succeeding in sounding brand new compared to much of today's modern worship fare. Crossing several musical boundaries including country rock, folk and soul, the memorable title track, the dobro-laden "Waiting To Find You" and "Enfold Me" - complete with a remarkable vocal from Liz Vice who sounds for all the world like Carly Simon - all evoke a welcome throwback to the folk rock sound of the '70s whilst showcasing a musical confidence from White and his team that has grown in leaps and bounds since the band's more mainstream debut album. Refreshingly free from lyrical cliché, White's expert ability to communicate his hope in God is evidenced in the likes of the soulful "Sweet Submission" and the tender closer "God's Eternal Now" whilst the Delaney & Bonnie-like "You Did Everything" acknowledges the saving grace of Jesus compete with sparkling vocal performances from White and Vice to make this a simply unmissable release.
