The Found Cats are Americans Pete Ludovico and Jeff McLary, based in the New York area. This excellent album combines the genuine sounds of authentic rockabilly, catchy songs and a message that you cannot miss. Signed to the specialist mainstream rockabilly label Golly Gee Records, they've called the album 'Full Gospel Rockabilly' and that is exactly what it is! Listeners to Rimmerama will have already heard me playing this stuff and I love the life and joy that emanates from these fun songs. The Found Cats know how to swing and tight songs like "Wham Bam Born Again", "Better Than Yesterday" and their signature song "Found Cat" are infectious. The nearest hit band in the UK in living memory that sounded like this would be The Stray Cats and if you liked their stuff, it's time to find these cats. Or maybe you just want to hear Christian music that sounds completely different from everything else. I just love the joie de vivre that springs from every track!
