The eight man outfit from Philadelphia show how to make a joyful noise of enthusiasm and rich vocal harmony performances. With two discs of material, you get some outstanding stuff. On disc one, "We Used To Have Good Times" is a medley of some old gospel songs that is designed to bring back memories for long time gospel fans. Another highlight is "Hand Clap For Jesus" which has a funky groove that reminded me of Graham Central Station. Where disc one sounded like a modern take on gospel history, the second disc is packed with modern sounds and adventurous arrangements which proves the group's versatility. "Heavenly Praise" has elements of rock added into the mix. The elements of funk and soul which permeates disc two pulls out all kinds of flavours and the whole set ends with the excellent "Yes I'm Saved". It's like the entirety of gospel music is encapsulated in these two discs.
