"You ain't from around here, are you boys?" No. In fact, Thre3 come from Texas, in the good old US of A. 'Bleeding Youth' is a difficult album to categorise - yes, it's alternative; yes, it's rock, and yes, it's 'Hovis'. Actually, I'd go as far as to say it's definitely better music for your bread! I tried to think of comparisons to help give you a better idea of what to expect from this band: Nirvana? Nope! Pearl Jam? Nope! The closest I could come up with was Primus, and that's misleading. No, this is a unique band, and in my humble opinion a great album. But it wasn't all plain sailing: the first two or three plays I found the vocals rather monotonous - then I went and had my dinner and the songs kept re-running in my head. I had to hear it again... And again... And... GET THIS ALBUM! PLAY IT LOUD! "And y'all come back now, yer hear!!"
