Tony Cornish, despite his name, is in fact based in Wrexham, and this title EP has four of his well-crafted, thoughtful songs, with understated backing from bass, keyboards and percussion to support his guitars and vocals. Brian Taylor at New Dawn Music has a happy knack of finding good grassroots musos to support, and Tony is his latest recruit. His songs are somewhat Martyn Joseph-like in style, in that the lyrics aren't up-front Christian, but instead they make you think and search for the meaning that lies under the surface. Well worth sending for, and I don't doubt we'll hear more of Mr. Cornish.
