Veterans of the East Coast punk scene return with their latest offering that mixes three new studio recordings with a greatest hits live set. Seated firmly in the tradition of Oi! punk rock this four-piece bring a no nonsense approach to their music. Stripped of any production frills, guitars squawk and growl as vocals are delivered as a series of calls and gang responses. Energy levels are high and a driving bass helps the short tracks to bounce along with a garage sound. Authentic delivery allows classics such as "Amazing Grace" and "God's Gonna Cut You Down" to sit happily alongside "Johnny B Goode". Throughout the whole recording a passion for unity and a commitment to living out the band's Christian beliefs is obvious in what was recorded before vocalist Aaron Wells left for full time missionary service. True Liberty have not tried to overcomplicate their sound. The recording delivers an hour's worth of classic hardcore punk that will stir up nostalgia for an earlier time when rock music shunned glossy production and wore its heart on its sleeve.
