Friendly enough set, majoring on the chirpy, sunny side of black gospel rather than the blazing passion of such as Shirley Caesar. Plenty of energy moving around all concerned, usual slick instrumentation and glossy arrangements. Songs tend to hover around the somewhat hackneyed "It's Alright Now" and "Thank You Lord" sort of mark and can I once again nag for some creative lyrics, pleeeease! It doesn't have to be seen as a threat to the genre, surely. So, competent is the word, which doesn't earn high marks from this reviewer, even though it's a rather classy voice presented here.
