Sammy Horner's Worship Like The Celts series makes progress

GLOBE TROTTING singer, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist and
frontman for Celticana group The Sweet Sorrows, Sammy Horner, reports that he is making
steady progress on the first two albums in a series Worship Like The
Celts planned for release later this year. He was recently in London
recording the album 'Worship Like The Celts: Celebration' with
producer, deejay and mixer Tony 'The Psalmist' Silcock and is
simultaneously working on the album 'Worship Like The Celts: Acoustic
Roots'. The latter, expected to be released in October, will feature
an international sweep of vocalists, including Swiss goth rocker
Myriam Smithy, Kaite De Veau of the Australian group Mayfair Lane,
America's Beki Hemingway, Holland's Alice Hoolsema and others. Mary
& Mark Fleeson from the Lindisfarne Scriptorium will look after
the art work. Talking about the thinking behind the series Horner
said, "In essence, Worship Like The Celts is an aid to get believers
to move beyond the restrictions of congregational singing to see that
true worship can and should permeate every aspect of our lives.
Whether we are chilling out listening to folk music, giving it some
welly on a dance floor or indeed any other human activity. A life of
real thanks and wonder would be a wonderful thing."
