Original Prayer

Lord help these people who are fighting addictions to see that you are a God of endless grace and mercy. Lord you brought me through addiction to Heroin, crack, violence, money, sex, pornography and masturbation but you brought me through those one at a time. Help all my brothers and sisters to see that they are on a journey that is directed by you and not the powers of earth. Lift them up today Lord, let them see that you only deal in conviction and forgivness not in guilt and shame in Jesus name ....Amen.

THE ADDICTION OF PORNOGRAPHY IS A HORRIBLE THING. TO ADMIT TO THIS MOST OFTEN WILL GET YOU THE WORST RESPONSES POSSIBLE. I SOMETIMES WISH MY ADDICTION WAS TO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL. PEOPLE ARE MORE UNDERSTANDING AND FORGIVING. THANK GOD HE IS IN CHARGE OF FORGIVENESS. WHEN YOU ADMIT THE ADDICTION TO PORN , MOTHERS LOOK AT YOU LIKE YOU'RE AFTER THERE LITTLE CHILDREN. THANK GOD I DON'T HAVE THAT PROBLEM BUT I DO STRUGGLE WITH THE ADDICTION TO LOOKING AT A WOMEN'S BODY. EVEN IN CHURCH I STRUGGLE NOT TO LOOK AT WOMEN . IT SEEMS I ALWAYS HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO SEE WHAT I SHOULDN'T. MY PRAYER IS THAT I WILL SUCCEED IN MAKING THE CHOICE TO KEEP MY EYES HOLY. BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT IT IS . A CHOICE. DELIVERENCE IS NOT ALWAYS FREEDOM OF TEMPTATION BUT RATHER , I BELIEVE, THE REALIZATION THAT YOU HAVE A CHOICE TO LOOK AT - OR LOOK AWAY. PLEASE JOIN ME IN MY PRAYER. TIM

I am struggling with this addiction as well. I am a 17 year old teen that is trying to totally devote his life to God. I have gone up to 8wks without falling, but now I'm back to once a day. It is occuring so often that sometimes I don't even care. I know that this is the devil, but it is so hard to stop. Please pray for me and I will pray for you. God's Blessings be upon you.

Dear Darrell I believe in God since this April. I have the very same problem with food addiction for more than 2 years. For a while I hoped I could cope myself. I was extremely wrong. Noone can manage this sin by himself. Only through Jesus you may win over the Devil. My Tutor and Priest has told me that a person can believe in Jesus, express in words what he thinks he feels yet unless you show your love for Jesus in deeds you don't have Him. I pray for you and I hope that we both will find forgiveness and cure. In Him!!! Lord be with you!!!
