Original Prayer

Details have been left out of what I am about to say, as it would take too long to explain everything. Our son Nick (25)has been doing a 3 year computer in business course at university, this is somewhat of a miracle as he was kicked out of school, got deeply involved in drugs and now totally denies God exists, even though he was brought up as a Christian. He now lives away from home, but visited us mid August. Sadly he stormed off after swearing at us. I have tried to contact him and was able to quickly chat last week on the phone, unfortunately it didn't go well and ended with him swearing again. Our daughter who lives local has been able to talk with him, and he is very low. He owes rent, isn't eating properly, and has hardly any money. He wants to start a business, and when we did last speak I suggested he get a job, which didn't go down too well. We cant help him financially, and I feel very upset for Nick in many ways, as I fear for his future unless he changes his attitude and approach to other people....especially his family. I pray Oh Lord that you will move dramatically in this situation, I believe that 'all things are possible' and that you help us if we call out to you. Lord Jesus I pray for Nick, that you will almost shake him into doing something to change his circumstances. I pray that his eyes will be open to you again, and that you will help sort out every problem and difficulty Nick is experiencing. Lord I pray that he will contact us and realise the great upset he has caused, and that he will find something to provide for his needs. Lord I pray that you will move in this situation and help rebuild all that has been damaged. I ask this in Jesus name Amen

Father I bring Nick's situation before You Lord, yet again we see another life being destroyed by drugs - I pray for a break from any remaining addiction, that Nick would feel Your love first and foremost in times of need. Help Him to remember that You alone are the way to a fruitful life and not the gratifications of the world he lives in. I pray that You will help the family to remain strong and exercise great wisdom in dealing with Nick, as difficult as this is, by Your grace and mercy Lord bless this family who's hope remains in You Lord. Father God I pray for Nick and his family that they will become a close family again and able to communicate easily to each other. I Pray that you will guide Nick and heal his state of mind and put people in his life that will draw near to him and help him.Please heal any hurt he has suffered and help him to be re-united with his family. I pray that his family will welcome him back and that you will surround each one with your love and guidance that they will be able to help Nick. Draw near to Nick Lord and show him that you care about every step he takes and help him to know and love you again. In Jesus Name, Amen
