Original Prayer

God, for all I know, I could be the only person in the world that does this. And because I don't know anyone who has this problem, it is incredibly embarassing to write it here. Try as I might, I have been unable to stop picking my pimples for 12 years. (Or spots, since I think this site is British). I have had the uncontrollable urge since I was 14 to run my fingers over my face searching for pimples to pop, many times leaving deep fingernail marks in my skin, and many times causing bleeding. I've tried different pills and skin creams, but nothing has cured me. What is this sickness? Why do I do this? What am I supposed to learn through this? I am as baffled as the people probably reading this entry, and yet I live with it every night. Can You shed some light on this issue for me, Papa? Thank-you in advance for helping me. Erin

Erin before I pray let me try and reassure you, many many people pick at spots some way into their adult years, it becomes a chicken and egg situation the more you pick at them the less likely they are to dissapear, this is a problem with a three fold cure I believe: 1. We pray and ask God to heal the spots, the achne, cure you skin, then you will have nothing to pick, also we pray and ask God to break the addiction to picking as thats probably what it is, anything we do regularly can become an addiction. 2. You maybe need to see you doctor and get a little helping hand with the spots, its quite common and the cures are pretty good these days. 3. You need to try and stop picking at them, I'm not being simplistic, any addiction needs a little work our end, I gave up smoking last year and it was tough as heck but one needs to hang in there. I reckon a combination of these three will sort things out my friend. Lord Jesus thank you so much for your awesome love for Erin, she is your precious and beautiful child, Lord you know how much this problem effects Erin not only physically but the way she see's herself, her confidence and the way she feels others maybe see her, I stand alongside Erin and claim the victory over this problem, Lord Jesus please heal her skin in the awesome name of Jesus, pour out healing on to and into her body make her skin like new, no scars, and Lord Jesus in your name I break the addiction to picking her skin in the name of Jesus and ask that she be completely freed from this addiction, bless this child Lord Jesus bless her awesomely I ask this in your precious and powerful name Lord Jesus, King, Saviour and Friend Amen
