We've already reviewed other volumes of these back in CR51 (Vol 2) and CR60 (Vols 3 & 4), and with EMI Christian Music now pitching in with a series called Acoustic Worship as well, there's plenty of room for confusion. THIS Acoustic Worship series promises "25 of America's favourite choruses sung in a fresh new way" which in fact means producer David Lyndon Huff assembling a bunch of session singers to go through short renditions of famous US choruses ("Awesome God", "Thy Word", "He Is Exalted", etc, etc). Competently sung and arranged but clearly rather production line.
