When you've got Chris Bowater saying things like, "This exciting first album is a worthy showcase of some great worship songs by Andy Smith who I believe to be one of the great prospects in worship in this century," expectations rise. Overall they aren't dashed either. This set, recorded live at Newark Baptist Church, hardly breaks new musical ground. Guests Godfrey Birtill and, yes, Chris Bowater, add contributions. Andy's songs are stirring, particularly the contemporary hymn "Song For Britain" so we wait to see whether some of these songs will soon be echoing around Britain's churches.
