The British music scene continues to throw up plenty of R&B/pop talent and though only occasionally do we find an exceptional singer like Rebecca Ferguson. Bee first came to CR's notice singing on a Bath City Church worship project and now her career as a guitar-toting singer/songwriter around British clubland is slowly but surely building her reputation. You'll be hearing the title track of this five-song set on Cross Rhythms radio and it's something of a mystery why pop radio hasn't picked up on "Brighter" as the artful blend of acoustic and electronic rhythms over which Bee's soulful emoting is truly delicious. "Waiting To Happen" with its staccato delivery is almost as good while the stripped down "Best Shot" shows her delicate tones alone can mesmerise the listener. If Bee plays at a venue near you make sure you get to hear her.
