As followers of urban gospel will know, Blanca is a former member of Group 1 Crew and after her solo EP, 'Who I Am', this full-length set came out in May 2015. Some people were surprised that there is less of an R&B groove and more of a pop electronic sound to 'Blanca' while the eclecticism shown between "Catching Fire" (almost an old school disco sound), "Sunshine" (with a JA groove) and the hip-hop of "Not Backing Down" is in truth a little jarring. As it turned out, 'Blanca' didn't produce any major hit for the singer and there is nothing here as good as her best work with Group 1 Crew. Let's wait for the next album. . .
