A fascinating and satisfying album debut from one of the biggest bands in Ireland, this is pop classy and hook-laden enough to make radio playlists and with lyrics which probe and press spiritual and social themes with welcomed sensitivity. My favourite cuts are the moody ballad "Take Me In" where swirling keys and an undulating chapman stick give singer Andrew Mitchell just the right bed from which to passionately plead to go deeper into the things of God, and "Time Is Right (Club Mix)" where, thanks to the remixers art, co-producer Matt Wanstall can take the hooky opener to clubland. You'll be hearing a lot more about this band, as indeed several others from the Emerald Isle for Booley House are the latest band to demonstrate that the re-emergence of the Northern Irish CCM scene is no flash in the pan but seemingly a part of God's strategy to impact a culture far too long locked in religious insularity. Pray for the band, buy their album.
