Melodic jangly guitar playing. They clatter and clang along passionately to "All That I Do" with vigour. Good acoustic sound, raucous vocals. But it's a bit bland and mournful. The songs sound the same. But there's not much you can do with a couple of guitars on their own. On the positive side, acoustically it's big and powerful. It's the kind of sound you could hear peace protesters in the '70s bashing out on their guitars. "Cast No Shadow" has an echoey, sing-it-in-the-rain-to-a-swaying-crowd feel to it which I liked. Tres passe, though. But retro is making a come back, so who knows?
