I thought this album was absolutely brilliant when it first came out. A Christian album that was as good as anything else around. It still sounds pretty good all these years later.

CANAAN (1973 ALBUM) WAS THE MOST INFLUENTIAL ALBUM IN MY 51 YEARS TO DATE - THE MUSIC WAS INSPIRED AND I WAS UPLIFTED AND EDIFIED BY IT THROUGH THE FIRST SOMETIMES BRILLIANT AND SOMETIMES VERY CHALLENGING YEARS AS A CHRISTIAN - GUS EYRE WAS HUMBLE AND A STRONG MAN OF GOD - I HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF MEETING HIM DURING THE YEARS OF NORTHERN COUNTY OUTREACH TENT CRUSADE

From a musical pov, one of the great Christian albums of the 70s. I still have the original, it's worth many times what I paid for it, and you can't say that about many of it's contemporaries! Shame it's never been digitally re-mastered.

Canaan - back to 1975 and university and becoming a Christian! Your music helped keep me going during those vulnerable early days - "Jesus revolution! Come on and meet all the family of the Lord!" Being able to tap your feet and play air guitar to these new truths was so important. Shouting out of the window "I can feel the sunshine, I can hear the rain! I don't care care what anyone says 'cos I've been born again!" Great stuff - many thanks, boys.

Only just read this. As a band member I have many great memories and am so glad that so many people were encouraged by what we did way back then. Please get in touch if you receive this

Recorded the Canaan album many years ago onto CD, now part of my digital library on my laptop. Still love it - brings back memories of my first term at college in 1973 - the term when I first believed in Jesus. My good friends Dave and Geoff Gillard designed the album cover.
