I wasn't impressed with this singer/songwriter's first release in 2002, commenting on its demo quality. This is much better, Chris taking the best four songs from 'This Love' and adding six more to produce an album which moves from gentle acoustic balladry to moody pop rock numbers. Chris' voice is still not the most musical you'll ever hear but with impressive guitar playing (check out the excellent electric work on the instrumental "Give Me Eyes") and some good melodic ideas clearly Chris is an emergent talent. This was actually released in 2003 and Chris has now moved from his Northampton home to New Zealand. Here's hoping we'll be getting a Kiwi-produced album before too long.
