Christian City Church are starting to make waves outside of their native Australia as can be seen by the article in the previous issue of Cross Rhythms. 'Higher' is a live recording of two worship sessions completed on the same day and is full of energy, wonderful songs and a sense of exuberant worship of God. A wealth of talented musicians and some wonderful arrangements, aided by a full horn section, make this album different from the recent crop of Australian worship material. While the tempo is mainly upbeat, the quieter songs such as "Coming Closer" and "Rain" really stand out and exude passion. Added to this, the CD comes with added demo of their website. The site itself includes video footage of practices, chord sheets, song teaching material and a huge amount of other material. The only down side is that you have to subscribe to it. Well worth getting hold of if you want some lively uplifting worship.

Tim Holden lives with Mel and daughter Gaby in sunny Uckfield which only floods twice a year!
