Here we go again, it's approaching Christmas and we get the traditional as Turkey and Brussels compilations. On this latest release by Kingsway we are given 25 songs and carols over two CDs produced by Chris Norton and with all the usual suspects (Simon Goodall, Ingrid DuMosch, Andy Green, David Lyle Morris, Brent Miller, etc) doing vocals. The yuletide standards ("Silent Night", "O Little Town Of Bethlehem", "Away in A Manger", "Winter Wonderland", "White Christmas", etc) are given anonymous run throughs. Although "O Holy Night" is one of the better songs there is nothing new that would make this set stand out from all the other Christmas CDs that are out there. It's the kind of CD that you would expect a supermarket to have on as background music for their shoppers.
