Described as a collection of songs to "inspire us to share Jesus with our friends", this CD compiles well known songs by established worship leaders from around the globe, going back over the past 10 years. Is it just an excuse for another worship repackaging? Well, if you're into highly polished, middle of the road recordings and you don't have a big CD collection, this could be a great place to start. Many of the stars are here, including Hillsongs, Robin Mark, Jared Anderson and Paul Baloche. The theme of inspiring us to witness runs a bit thin in that we have choices like "Rescue The Perishing" and "Stand In The Gap" interspersed with others like "Worthy Is The Lamb" and "Your Name", which are simply songs of praise and adoration. The production and musicianship is very slick; even though some of the writing acts as a reminder of just how banal popular worship lyric writing can be. Perhaps a clue to the purpose is the sleeve - whist information on the music is kept to an absolute minimum, a whole page is taken up with a glossy advert for a Reinhard Bonnke film series!
