Clay House are a pop soul duo with class. Paul Dexter and David Snow have not only written all the songs on the album but between them they contributed much of the musical accompaniment. Paul also produced, recorded and mixed the recording himself but this is a high quality recording professionally presented. There are 10 songs on the album and each one has something to say. The boys conjure up some rhythmic moments without being an out-and-out dance outfit normally associated with N-Soul. However, you are likely to be tapping your feet within about 30 seconds of pressing "on"! Personally I found the vocals a little indistinct in some songs and consequently the lyrics are not always clear. It's hard to pick out a favourite song but "Take The Time" is a reminder of how important it is to find time for God in our busy, often chaotic, lives while "Tears For Your Soul" is a very personal song about the pain of having close family who have rejected God. This is a good album from a talented young duo.
