Nicely-produced worship album in a pop vein from a church worship group who have availed themselves of the facilities at ICC. Consequently, this has a strong clean sound and IS a busy production with plenty happening. The main writer and singer is David MacMurchy who does a good line in creating worship songs that are original yet feel familiar. Creating something between Vineyard and the new worship that's emerged in the last few years, this is a good solid album without ever managing to be remarkable. Where this begins to catch a little is when the band let loose. "Who Can Compare" bowls along and features some cool flute playing and "Let The Thoughts Of My Mind" breaks into some great spontaneous stuff but elsewhere, while this is a good effort, it fails to really capture me. Occasionally, the vocals grate but overall, Cotswold Christian Centre have made a solid, enjoyable if not remarkable album.
