Actually this CD was difficult to classify.  It includes spoken scripture (with the most corny American accents a UK resident could imagine), easy-listening/pop backing music and (white?) gospel choir hooks.  The vocals are well sung and arranged, and the backing instrumentation is nice enough, but is not at all adventurous or imaginative.  A well-kept formula is unfortunately used for all 10 tracks, so the listener will probably tire after three or four songs.  However the accents of the readers may grate, the content is uplifting and inspiring, and the choral refrains are catchy.  So it could be a good way of getting Scripture into your head first thing in the morning, and making it stay there all day.  But if you're a musician, probably the backing drum machine and associated riffs are enough to put you off any idea of a repeat listen.
