"Don't give up, don't give in, everything's going to be alright" is a recurring line in this emotional ballad. Emmanuel, who was a semi-finalist on The Voice UK TV talent search, sings his message to trust God and not to give up on him using many vocal acrobatics. The song's minimalistic accompaniment is complimentary of Smith's voice and fits with the emotion the song portrays. It has a slow pace and a steady beat on the drums carrying the chorus. A simple electric guitar riff, a few acoustic guitar chords and a harmonising choir complete the mix throughout the track. He uses "Weather" to show off his amazing vocal range and ability to bend notes with ease, however this does take away from the appeal of the song with too many embellishments distracting from the core melody.
