Part of the whole Emmaus thing in Ireland (see article on Ireland in the next CR) this is simply stunning. Emmaus use gutsy axe sounds, cool percussion, great keys and rhythms and some very hot vocalists. A brilliant mix of worship/gospel and a scream for sanity in a country that needs to hear what these young musos are saying. If like me, you get a little bored with that darned four four dance beat then you should really get a hold of this EP. Sometimes sounding like INXS except better, the main crime is that this is not widely available...A&R men take note if you want something that goes well beyond the usual dance thing, you won't get any better than Emmaus.
