Singer and actor Frank McGregor has been setting the Psalms of the Revised Standard Bible to his own music for more than 20 years. This CD showcases 12 of them, many being acoustic guitar led with keyboard accompaniment offering strings and harp sounds you might expect for such a collection. But things also get a bit of a beat in places with some drum machine and electric guitar. While some might say that it should not be done because the original music for the Psalms, the music they were meant for, has been lost; this project does offer the chance to bring some very important words and blessings to life in a more exciting manner than any straight recitation could achieve.

Not quite as rock as they were once performed but wish you all the best with the album. I am sure these Psalm will reach the hearts of many. Very mellow.
