Disappointing. These ten new songs from the master of harmony and rhythm make up the least convincing album he's been involved with since Commissioned began. It's not that there's anything truly dreadful going on, it's just that an artist must surely be judged by his own standards, and this album does not approach the quality of Fred's Commissioned work nor his storming solo debut. The rhythms is still there, particularly in the form of "Unconditional"'s thumping good synth bass line, but the songs don't carry much weight. Too often the verse meanders along only to arrive at a truly insipid chorus. The title track has virtually no melody whatsoever. I wish I could find some nicer things to say, but it really is an album without any highlights. I stick with my first word.
