Hawk Nelson the Canadian rock pop group from Peterborough, Ontario have added another release to their 15 year history. The band's former guitarist Jonathan Steingard returns to the helm on lead vocals for his second album since Jason Dunn's departure in early 2012. Their previous release 'Made' featured anthem like melodies building towards a catchy chorus. The formula in this album is very much the same: guitar-driven, with piano in for good measure. The title track blasts the album straight into shape with a thundering drum intro and gets the album off to a promising start. There are some more radio friendly tracks here, with "Count On You" which includes the ever popular vocal effects in which they use just the right amount of delay on some of the backing vocals. "Only You" starts with acoustic guitar and becomes a synth-driven dance anthem before slowing down with soothing strings and once more an acoustic guitar which nicely rounds off the album. In 'Diamonds' we hear Steingard leading Hawk Nelson into a new season of pop and rock genre crossing.
