This is pop rock of a very high quality, from the Canadian team of CCM hitmakers and musically has hints of One Direction, Bruno Mars et al with some dance music-tinged keyboard riffs, a thumping kick and plenty of distorted electric guitars. Over it all Jon Steingard's voice soars and roars (just catch the "I am falling" line on "Parachute" for an example of his exceptional chops). He could almost be Robbie Williams in his pomp. I don't recall being overly impressed with Hawk Nelson's last album (looking back it was actually the bonus CD I wasn't impressed with), but 'Miracles' is crammed full of hooks and with top rate production. It also features a clear, in-your-face declaration of faith with the standout "He Still Does (Miracles)" being particularly uplifting. There are some very good arrangements too, "Right Here With You" being an excellent example of how to build a song without resorting to key changes. The overall tone is uplifting, proclaiming God's glory and grace in a way I don't think I've heard for a while. It certainly gets its message across.

Product Description
GRAMMY-nominated band Hawk Nelson is back with their 8th studio album "MIRACLES".

The momentum of their last release, "Diamond", garnered multiple Christian radio hits, including the chart topping single "Drops In The Ocean". That momentum drives this new project as well, with it's impactful pop-rock songs that breed familiarity with long time Hawk fans, and it's ever evolving musical timbre and steadfast spiritual message that is sure to draw new ones.
