This is a collection of 12 songs in Spanish - with no lyrics or translations provided. But don't worry - Henry's simple, profound and passionate performances with just a single guitar and voice will reach you in a way beyond words. The emotion is communicated direct and Henry is a very effective communicator. The tape proved to be eminently listenable and very enjoyable even without understanding the words. However, being a reviewer has certain privileges - like being able to obtain translations of all the songs from the artist! So I can tell you what the songs are about. They are based on Henry's experiences as a child in El Salvador and they speak powerfully of his continued love of both the country and its people. But these songs could be about almost anywhere in the world. "Ninos Rotos", about children maimed by bombs and bullets, could be a song about Bosnian children: "Instead of giving them love/We give them war, pain and blood." "Que Es Logue Pasa" could describe Ireland: "Some people walk from corner to corner without any hope/While the bombs destroy the lives of children." Such songs will help us understand the suffering of such people better, the first step toward prayer and knowing God's heart for the world more deeply. If only we had the words in English.
