A praise and worship recording of the congregation formerly known as Romford Christian Fellowship. All 14 songs are written by Sue Howson who also leads the worship (with Mick Smith) and has produced the album. Perhaps it may have been better to have brought in an outside producer to give an independent opinion. Frankly, some of the songs are too long and the arrangements too similar. Dave Van Rooyen, for example, provides some cool woodwind work - but it becomes a little repetitive. An objective producer could have lightened up the album and brought out the undoubted potential on show. For this reviewer, it didn't quite work although the song "Are You Ready?" has stuck with me. However, the "big names' who supplied quotes for the accompanying publicity have got nice things to say about 'Holy Fire". Perhaps it is me who is missing the point? Sound quality is excellent, one cannot argue with the lyrical content and at comfortably over an hour's playing time there is value for money. I just think it could have been better.
