Inside Out are a lively gospel choir from the Netherlands. They formed in 2000 and this is their third CD. They would appear to aim their set to an audience that is not so familiar with gospel music, providing a good introduction to some gospel and worship classics of the last three decades, including a good number penned by Fred Hammond, including "This Is The Day" and "Unconditional Love". To accompany, the band are suitably funky with solid grooves and a full sound. It's kind of like painting-by-numbers, performing such classics, but they do it with style and pizzazz, and sound like they are having a lot of fun. You'd never guess they weren't native English speakers by hearing them sing: it's just given away a couple of times where testimony is given in Dutch! Nevertheless, this is a fine collection and a good introduction to gospel music for any European.
