This recording is a fund raising effort, comprising of 16 new songs from within the Jerusalem Baptist Church, Neath. Their minister Andy Pilcher says it's a low budget production recorded in a local eight track studio. The singers and musicians are all members of the congregation, the youngest of whom is aged 10. The whole recording has a certain charm in it's evident naivete, with the lyrics and musical arrangement although raw, is still pure, uncomplicated and simple. As this album is a personal one for those of JB Church, the sentiment it contains is very real for them and a good way of raising funds. But it falls way short of what one would expect on a commercial release. Please do not let this critique discourage you guys at JB Church! After all, Jesus is the most simply uncomplicated person the world has ever known.
