The classical guitar Birmingham-based virtuoso Gerighty has here produced this wonderful of album of classical tunes. This album is just what you would expect from a classical guitar album; instead of reminding us of book shop or elevator music, as is the unfortunate tendency of instrumental hymnodies, this has a full on classical approach. Deftly played renditions of Erik Satie's "Gymnopedie No 2", Vivaldi's "Andante" and Ravel's "Pavane" are all delightful while for a longer piece there's Telemann's "Concerto In D". If your tastes run to the giants of classical guitar or you are looking for music which is truly soothing to the spirit, then this highly impressive set should definitely be sought out.
