He may be the son of a famous worship leader but this is a long way from the folky outpourings of Dave. Instead, you get a driving rock track “Falling” which has a full assault guitar sound that would do Delirious? justice while the song is hooky enough to sound good on radio. There are four other examples of Jon’s excellent songwriting here with “Liberation Child” having a nice line in gutsy drive. Shame I missed him at Dingwalls recently. I’ll be definitely playing this again.
