This EP is a little gem. Resisting a sound-a-like comparison, my view is that south Londoner Junior Garr brings a refreshingly meditative sound to praise and worship. Laying down five tracks to give a glimpse of what a full album will present, Junior promises a great deal more. Already this young singer, songwriter, musician and worship leader is making an impact in his sphere of influence. The title track is a beautifully atmospheric song drawing the listener into intimate worship with a mellow melody, sung sensitively by Junior together with backing vocals by Maria Omakinwa. The description "a pulsating soundbed of gritty guitars, a hint of electropop, soulful vocal arrangement all pulled together with Garr's soaring vocal" nails it pretty well. Adding the lilting "Beautiful To Me", the stirring "Cry Of The Righteous", the sonic "My God Is Real", and an acoustic reprise of the title cut, with all these tracks featuring tasty piano work by Junior Garr and Nicky Brown and guitar by Myles James this is a hugely impressive debut.
