15 years in, the successful CCM star records with a regularity many would envy. Her latest draws together songs by various writers (from herself to Carole King), none of them newly minted for this release, all on the theme of comfort. It is released to both the Christian and secular markets and easily straddles both. A simple recording, it relies merely on piano, guitar and voice. The arrangements are too relaxed, if not soporific, and feminine for this jaundiced male. But for those whose musical field is defined by the mature end of The X Factor and who could do with some gentle encouragement, I commend this for your edification.
