Kev is a worship leader from Stoke-on-Trent, and the inlay booklet informs us that he has "supported" Rebecca St James and opened festivals. That's all very well, but for the most part the worship songs on offer here are rather stereotypical. Lyrically, Kev's songs are accessible, clear and well structured, but sometimes lack much depth. He can clearly write a melody and hold a note, but as I listened I found myself wanting to hear more of Bec Wright leading the songs - she sings backing harmonies with a confidence that really lift the recordings. Some of the problems come down to the mix of the CD which is muddy. The best song is "My Life Is In Your Hands", while the low point is "It's All About Jesus" - the mix is terrible, the electric guitar is lost and endless chorus repetition drags the track out for a tough seven minutes. Also, the drumming throughout the album is loose and the other instruments struggle to track over them. I can imagine that these songs work well when Kev leads congregational worship but there is nothing here that suggests this will travel much beyond Staffordshire.

i love kevs music and belive it is words from the heart and they are simple but yet speak to your individual probelms and help you to remember to turn to god no-matter what, he is obviously very commited to what he does

i think your commnts are really harsh and unfair i often listen to kevs music via my phone and love it every time. i also use his songs in worship at my church and every time i have always heard good comments and i think he leads music very well and his songs are really good yet simple and that is what you need from most songs i find to deeply spiritual stuff just comfuses me.nice and simple and helps you worship our awsome god we dont need long and deep and meaningful words to do that.

I have to say your review is harsh and very short sighted, as well as being far to personal.
You need to look beyond any issues you may have with the actual recording and mix and look at content of the worship. I have been part of a congregation which Kev and his band have lead worship and I found him to be a spiritually lead worship leader, as well as having a great response to his own worship songs from the congregation members.
